correct, if you aren't having obvious cold sores, really no reason for antivirals.

discuss your herpes status with future partners and find out if they've been tested for it. You can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take until you know who has what.

Oh wow so since so much people are infected with Hsv 1 it's commonly normal.

Well it seems that the antiVirals they have it's for it to cure the soreness or what ever visible infection people have. I don't know if I'm wrong or right, but it seems like there is no point of taking these since the purpose of antivirals are to treat the infections that are visible?

most adults are hsv1+. Most of them never get obvious cold sores to know it. No real reason to assume your hsv1 isn't oral since you've had no symptoms and this was just a routine std check.

I got tested because I was paranoid after knowing people close to me were infected.

This would be my first blood work test(well for this type of testing) and the last time I was sexually active was a year and a few months ago.

For me its confusing because when I search for HSV they talk about the genital HSV(2) and all These shedding, itching, soreness. On HSV(1) they also say that mouth cold sores happens on lip, inside lip etc. here is the thing, I've never been thru none of that what so ever, never in my life. Im so confused. I dont know what to take for it and my doctors appointment is on March, and I dont want to wait that long.
