Sore on Penis...Now sore on lip...?

So last year I noticed a few blisters on the base of my penis.  Went to a doctor and was diagnosed with Herpes simplex type I.  I haven't noticed any blisters down there since the first outbreak. Today, I woke up with a tingling in my lip and noticed what appears to be blisters coming through.  I've never experienced blisters on my lips before...is it possible the herpes i acquired which presented on my penis is now presenting on my lip?

It may not be herpes. Having and established infection would prevent it from becoming oral as well.

I was diagnosed via blood and swab...so it was very conclusive.

Looking back over possible exposure there is no way I could have contracted at both sites at the same time....especially given the time frame of the initial outbreak.  I am really perplexed as to why I would have a cold sore coming through on my lip right now...

Hi, how were you diagnosed? Also those with a long term infection in one area would be basicly immune to contacting it in another. Those that get it in both contacted it at the same time.
