Molluscum is a different virus. It's pretty easy to pick up from gyms and pools.  Did he get it treated so that hopefully it doesn't spread to the rest of the family?

Your husband is + for hsv1 and negative for hsv2. They are 2 completely different types of the herpes virus.  As I already said - most adults are + for hsv1 due to cold sores though only 20-40% of folks who have hsv1 orally get obvious cold sores to know that they are infected with the virus.  You have it too since your hsv1 test was also +.

What's so terrible?  Most adults have hsv1 - it's incredibly common and not many of us make it to the old folks home without it.

the symptoms your hubby had - did he have a lesion culture that was + herpes from them or were his providers just guessing and did a herpes blood test?

Yes, my test was:

HSV I Type Specific IgG .... OD RATIO .... 1.36

I never had any symptom, but he had bubbles on his neck about fives weeks ago and no genital symptoms or any oral symptoms.

Its terrible, I never had any partner on my life.

the hsv1 is + . Most adults test + for hsv1 and statistically if he can't recall either genital symptoms or oral symptoms it's hsv1 orally.

were you tested too?
