Testing time frames

Just curious how accurate HSV2 IgG testing is after 8, 12, 16 weeks?  

My gf was negative at 16 weeks post cheating

I was negative at 7 weeks from starting to have pain

Just retested

Gf is at 21 weeks

I'm at 12 weeks

I came back positive at 11 weeks and she's negative at 14 weeks.  So confused.

Does herpes cause urethral drainage?  Clear fluid.  I'm in serious anxiety mode.  Waiting on tests.  Urethral pain is constant burning.  Just had some clear fluid come out.

Always blood test.  IgG.

I've only been with her.  Question really is if she is lying about April.  But we were both negative at least at 7-8 weeks since I my symptoms on pain in my penis started.

Most unlikely it took a year for you to 'truly' seroconvert, more likely that some commercial blood tests missed your HSV1 infection (1 in 10 roughly) and you took a different kit to identify the infection?

If your girlfriend is clear after 16 weeks and she's your only partner, then that is conclusive. No real additional value in a further tests for you or her. The detection of HSV2 is much more accurate in blood tests.

Ok thanks.  I know my hsv 1 took over a year to become positive when I was infected 5 years ago.  But maybe that's hsv 1
