Back in 2012 I was tested for herpes

Herpes simplex igg2 result 3.94 flag h range 0.00-0.90

Herpes simplex igg 1 =1.10  positive: igg antibody to hsv 1 detected

Herpes simplex igg 2 =1.10 positive: Igg antibody to hsv 2 detected
They said I was a carrier is this true? Or false positive
I'venever had a breakout or flu llike symptoms the other I had sex with a condom an I was very dry an it was rough an hurt the day after I noticed lil red bumps they hurt a little bit so I went to the er an got check the er Dr said they look like herpes but she wasn't sure so she swabbed them but the bumps weren't open or pussing an I asked her could it just be irritated from sex an she was like no an gave me four pills an a shot for STDs that I know I don't have an a Rx for bv an for herpes  but my bumps never opened or had fluid in them or never blistered an they are pretty much gone after like after four days could it just been irritation from rough sex plus being dry I been taking the nasty medicine for three days now do I really need to take the herpes medicine? I get my results from the swab on Monday an I am very scared

I have responded in another post.

These results quite clearly indicate that you are infected with both HSV1 and HSV2. The information shows the ranges, which really indicate that greater than 1.1 should be considered positive.

Your reading of 3.94 for HSV2 indicates a healthy level of antibodies to the virus and there is little doubt you are infected with the virus.
