Im worried I spread herpes to other parts of my body

I had a cold sore about ten years ago and tested positive for it, I since never had another outbreak... fast forward to now I got a outbreak on my finger, at the time I didn't know what it was so I didn't treat it or cover it up.. I washed my face with it and even masterbated with it.

I recently retested for herpes and I'm only positive for type 1... I asked the doctors if I could have spread it and they say yes... the herpes on my hand is very small and doesn't look like it's going to pop, idk if that means anything... I also wonder how I got it in my hand.

Looks like a reaction to your cars steering wheel. Really wrong location to be whitlow

That would be correct but it would also be very painful. Not being painful is some evidence its not herpes.

i went to the doctor again and pleaded to have it swabbed and got denied, so frusterating.

u mentioned once u have type 1 u cannot spread it to other parts leads me to believe if i do have herpes on my finger that it came from a new infection, type 2?

Only a test would confirm and make sense of this.

i tried hard to get it swabbed but was refused to.

im confused on stories that i read on here or online, people have siad that there herpes have spread to other parts so im guessing it is possible... or could have i got it on my finger and lip at the sametime years ago?

idk im just trying to make sense of this.

I would disagree that its not herpes  but then again only testing would confirm.

Hi life,

I can't get it swabbed, I tried to and was refused... the herpes is on my middle finger but at the base, close to the palm of my hand... the Whitlow herpes that I read online do say they are mostly painful and around the finger nail but mine is not... the doctor took a look and saw the small vesicles and agreed it was herpes, the base is not red anymore and what's left is the tiny vesicles.

Maybe the outbreak on my finger is not bad because I've had a outbreak on my lip before?

Hi, when a person has an established infection in one area they are basicly immune to spreading it to another, so i would suggest having the finger sore swabbed to confirm. Most that contract Whitlow are in the dental profession. Another thing about Whitlow, they are very painful so i dont think you would be masturbating with an active whitlow finger sore.
