sores around tail bone area

I have been getting sores once an month sometime twice a month right before my period.  This is 6 years now.  They occur all around my back side near the tail bone and in the same spots.  Is this the same as vaginal herpes?  Take valtrex when I can afford it ( $250) a month.  It helps so a lot, but too expensive. None of my partners have complained of being infected.

I have blisters that come up on my tailbone area quite a bit, I was molested when I was younger and whoever molested me gave me genital warts, which I no longer have but the doctors told me I carry the virus and I can give it to partners but its unlikely sometimes. But just about the starting of this year I have had this breakout on my tail bone and it itches, its red cause I mess with it and it doesn't hurt as much as it itches. I wish I knew and when I am asked to come in so they can culture it it seems to heal up and go away.

lysine does nothing to help speed the healing of herpes lesions. you wasted your money on that.

You need to go and be seen and get this checked out. It sounds like more than herpes going on at this point. while at the doctor's, ask them to get a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is.

jail said I had them  a few years back.  God this month has been bad.  One big long outbreak.  Once they start to dry up 3 more appear.  Has it.  Started L-Lysine so hope that helps

No I have never had a culture done.  I do use the Acyclovir when I get the break out only to heal faster.  But the valtrex kept them away all together.  So I am assuming it's herpes because of how they blister, itch, soreness, and then scab.  Also how effective the medicine is.

How were you diagnosed as having genital herpes?

have you been seen to have these sores in the tail bone area cultured for herpes?

Acyclovir is WAY cheaper than valtrex. Ask your doctor to switch you to that.
