ROSEHIPS POWDER ORGANIC

Has anyone tried Rosehips powder for HBP? Does it work as well as HBP medication?

Keep in mind that supplements are not developed under the same guidelines as prescription meds. There is no basis for their success of failure nor are the long term effects well know. For managing HBP, there are so many classes of drugs that are very safe and very effective.

Sounds to me like "snake oil", sorry for the expression. Generally, if such "treatments" had any effect, they would be registered as medicine..

What actually works (there are no shortcuts..) are the following:
- Weight loss if you are overweight
- Regular exercise
- Low salt meals
- Fruits and vegetables
- Less animal fat / red meat
- Quit smoking if you are smoking
- Limit alcohol intake to 1 beer / 1 glass of wine a day
- Limit caffeine intake to 1 cup of coffee daily
- Meditation, yoga, stress management
- Of course, no stimulants or illegal drugs
- Omega-3 / fat fish may have a slight effect as they thin the blood and make the blood vessels relax.
- Magnesium supplements may have an effect if your magnesium levels are low.

If they fail, approved medications can be suggested by your doctor.
