Athletes Foot

I am having some scaling and cracking between my toes, with itching and redness. I am a 40 y/o woman who does not visit the gym, locker room, or public saunas/pools. My husband and step son do not have symptoms. Where did I get this from? Could I have picked it up at the hospital when I had surgery in April or from a doctor's office? I have run barefoot at those places.

Thanks

sounds like it wasn't Tinea. although you might have had a reaction from using the medication on open wounds.

also buy a off the counter antibiotic cream you can alternate with the other treatments to prevent infections.

do you have psoriasis or diabetes or any other vascular problem?

try vinegar let me know if it worked! alternating with bleach (like morning-evening) can drastically improve the effectiveness.

No I dont have a garden. I live in a apartment complex. I have tried using a spray athletes foot remedy and the problem has gotten worse. Now my toe is swollen  and tender along with the redness and cracking. Lotion does not help either. I will try dipping my feet in vinegar.

do you have a garden?  Tinea is not the only fungal infection it could be a different type that resembles Athlete's foot. Hospital and Doctor's office are meant to be spic and span so I guess it's unlikely that you caught it there especially if you walked on a dry surface.  have you had pedicure recently?

To be really sure what it is you could have it analyzed with skin biopsy.

try natural products along with pharmaceutical, bleach and vinegar for example. deep the foot in white vinegar.
