I recently was tested for EBV because I am having some issues with lack of sleep, tingling and weakness throughout my body. The test they ran are as follows:
EBV Ab VCA IGG 177.0 high negative is less than 18.0 equiv 18.0-21.9 positive greater than 21.9
EBV Ab VCA IGM less than 36.0 which is negative
EBV PCR Quant (Whole Blood) Negative
My doctor says this just means I had mono at some point in my life. I do not remember ever having mono, but ok, maybe when I was a baby or I thought something was just the flu was actual mono.
With such a high number of 177.0, could I be dealing with an active case of EBV that is contributing to my symptoms? Thank you.
