What are the symptoms of TB

Hi and sorry that your question wasn't answered earlier. You can be exposed to the bacteria that causes TB and not get sick for years until you get low immunity then it can possibly turn into TB. So if you think you were exposed you can get a TB test. The best one is the quantiferon gold test. An Xray can also tell if you have any walling off of TB cells but it won't tell if you had active TB. Having said that symptoms when you actually develop TB can be low grade fever, night sweats, extreme fatigue. Cough that lasts 3 weeks or longer and coughing up rusty colored or bloody sputum, weight loss, no appetite and pain in the chest.
