MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Paronychia or skin infection in the nails could be due to bacterial, fungal or yeast infection. If there is history of  direct contact, there is the risk of transmission also. Factors such as presence of break in the skin, the cause of the infection, response of your boyfriend to his medication, your medical history and immune system status are important considerations. If symptoms occur, it is best that you have this checked by your gynecologist. Take care and do keep us posted.
