And what about hepatitis b and c sis?should I check them again at 6 months mark?I have heard that both of these have got longer window period..I have checked fir hepatitis c at 5 months and hepatitis b at 4 months..are there enough to rule out both of them or shud I retest them again?are there any other major stds viral not identified yet?
Ok it would good to rule out the Syphillis to be sure. And, I agree with your doctor, you are clear on the HIV. No worries there. The 4th generation tests don't have a "window" period like the other tests because of the P24 antigen. So, that is good. So for about it.
Take care,

Ok sis..I will enquire about fta testing over here..I will get retested for reassurance..I m just 27 sis..and this neuropathic pain is killing me :(....should I test for hiv and hepatitis c also sis or my 5 months tests for both are enough to rule out both of them?yest I called one hiv specialist and told abiut my exposure with known positive pros....he told me your tests are conclusive and more than enuf to rule out hiv and now there are zero chances for u to have aquired that....according to u shud I test at 6 months mark which is today or forget about it?because this things happened after this exposure
I guess I mentioned this in my first post. But not sure if you had the FTA done. It is the Fluroescent Treponemal antibody test. The other one RPR or VDRL may have false negatives and so that is why I mentioned it before.

The electric pain and muscle spasms are probably part of the neuropathy that you seem to have. I know you said you had a Syphilis test done but if you had the RPR test it has about 20% false negatives. Secondary syphilis can make the hands and soles of feet become red or brownish red and you can have some other symptoms. You can sores on the mucous membranes that may or may not contain pus. The sores may be lighter than the surronding skin. If it looks like this you can get retested with another test called the FTA syphilis test. To double check if you ever have been exposed. If it is positive you will have antibody to it. Then you can get antibiotic for it. Other symptoms can be sore throat, weight loss, hair loss, neck stiffness, and headaches. Also, unequal reflexes, and irregular pupils and irritability.
