When I first got sick I had a headache for like a week straight. It was horrible. But now I really don't get the headaches, if I do they aren't severe. I do get chills/sweats sometimes but no fever.
some of these docs. are sooooo 'rubbish' - the ones that don't even listen to you telling them about your symptoms are not worth bothering with - they seem to think that what you have to say - is not important!! - their attitudes are quite the opposite to what a 'family doc'. should be - o.k. that said - I guess you are going to be researching the EBV. mono. stuff .
I hope you keep us up-dated .
take care - best wishes - gorbsx
If he thinks it is EBV then he should test you for this and see what your titer is.
well I went to this new Doctor today he iaid he didnt think I had Lyme or Hypothyroid, said it sounded like Epstein bar? or Mono , I dont know anything about them, he said he could still do the test for Lyme and the thyroid TSH I have to tell you he is new as I moved a year ago and its the first time I have been to him, he wouldnt let me talk much about the symptoms and I wasnt very impressed he was a know it all and the Lyme test wouldnt be a specific one , ..so whats new I seem to pick em each time.Am back to square one, well I am carrying on with my supplements ...so I have to join another forum now , Bye...... I may be back.....LOL
I get headaches, chills and sweats but no real fever that I am aware of.
I have had some morning chillseven when It is warm I seem to be worse in the morning, do any of you get any Bladder pain or kind of infection pain that goes away.
headaches - yes. the other stuff no. but my headaches maybe antibiotic withdrawal. can't expect to take massive doses of something and not have any withdrawal.
goryby - so little known about menopause too. i feel for you.
I had lots of night sweats - around the time of tick-bite - I thought it was 'menopause' stuff at the time - since then I have had some very bad headaches usually accompanied by 'an on/off fever' - being the ripe old age of 48 yrs. - I have no idea what 'symptoms' etc; could be connected to hormone levels fluctuating - my G.P.s have been no help on the 'menopause' subject. As my health probs. started soon after 'tick-bite' - I feel most of it is lyme related - of course 'irregular' monthly's - can be part of lyme also 'unexplained' breast pain - both of course also - hormonal' stuff .
I have had a couple of 'bad chills' - both times though I have felt very 'flu like' - never had this type of thing before 'tick-bite' either.
