Lyme on Dr Oz
Not sure how many of you are aware of the #takeabiteoutoflyme #lymediseasechallenge. Somewhat like the ice bucket challenge, we (lymies) have been challenging well known people to take a bite out of Lyme. Today Dr Oz did the challenge and had his whole audience participate. It was awesome seeing them do that. He also discussed Avril Lavigne's recent Lyme diagnosis. It is very exciting to see how far we have come in the last few years.
In my experience, Lyme is curable as long as it is accurately identified along with any co-infections, and as long as treatment is with effective meds for the necessary length of time. I completed treatment several years ago and remain well, with no symptoms of Lyme. Just sayin'.
Yes, seeing lots of the challenges on Facebook. Hopefully between that, Avril and Foster we will see a lot more attention given to Lyme and eventually even a cure. Perhaps not in our lifetime.
