Am in similar boat but nothing has caused this to abate.
Nothing but a hassle from diagnosis to treatment to not getting well .
It truly is a medical mystery. Cure unknown. Prognosis unknown. Treatment unknown.
All the way around, the medical community is clueless. We need a cure. We need a treatment that works.
My same problem...the head and facial pain started in July for me....was the first clue that something is really wrong. I have been on doxy a month and just switched to ceftin. But pain is like constant stabbing pains in central face that sometimes radiates to jaw and ear. I even bought a mouth guard before I knew I had Lyme...made it worse. It was my first thought too ,TMJ, and dentist agreed. I am having a CT to rule out any other cause and then a neuro appointment to see if they can help further. My doctor says in his twenty patients he has not seen such persistant pain in head and face....one of which was his own daughter that he treated for lyme who is fine and in school. I would love to think I will recover after only having it less than four months untreated. I want my like back. I am tired of pain, never had headaches unless I drank to much...lol. Any vitamin advice would be great from anyone that helps the headaches mainly

OH i just saw your P.S.
Isn't that funny, i also was tested for mono, due to my fatigue and some white spots in my mouth. When white blood cell count was a little abnormal but my doctor said he believes its was a combination of having Candida with the Lyme.
I also take ALA. My naturopath said that I should be consuming it with C0Q-10, something to do with your body being able to intake the ALA to its full potential when taking it with CoQ. I had a terrible case of TMJ w/ neuralgia. I feel your pain and nervousness. That was the first symptom that made me start my journey on finding out what was wrong with me.
a vitamin called Alpha Lipoic Acid 300mg/day has helped me with facial numbness and quivering. You symptoms seem much more extreme and I do not have the pain, but it might help you. You can find in most pharmacies and grocery stores, even walmart and target have it at times. take care
