If you dont have support?
I just wanted to comment to everyone who has Lyme or suspects they have Lyme. Don't be afraid to post a question on this site.I have no support at all. I thought my husband believed in me but when i was talking to a friend yesterday and explaining all the different issues you could develope i mentioned physological problems and he pointed to his head and said yeah physological problems and rolled his eyes! I have been having alot of issues for years now and I swear i dont have a Brain somedays but he really crushed me. Im not going to let that deter me from trying to get to the bottom of this. I dont understand alot of what i need to know but i still get on this computer everyday and keep reading! Hopefully when I get to my Rhuematologist on Sept. 10 they will be able to help me.
I have posted on this site a few times now and greatly appreciate the quick response and very detailed info. These people are not Doctors but they have been thru alot of what we are going thru now. Thank you all so much!

As Jackie said, we've all been through some version of this. Be sure to make him know how your comment affected you and tell him more than anything you need his support at this time, not his sarcasm.
It's difficult enough when the medical community doesn't believe you have LD, but that can be handled by moving on. Not so easy when loved ones question it, or don't believe it.
All the best to you, keep being a trooper and you will get to the bottom of your symptoms.

You are very kind! We've all been through some version of what you are going through, so we do indeed understand at some level.

Let us know how it goes with the rheumie -- some of them don't understand Lyme, but I'll keep fingers crossed (X!) that you are lucky in that regard. Don't be downhearted if this particular doc doesn't 'get it' -- it took me a lot of docs before I found one that worked for me.
