You say above: "Taking a break from antibiotics (was on same ones 20 weeks)" -- pls keep in mind that which antibiotics are effective depend on what infections you have.
You might want to see another Lyme doc for a second opinion from another doc experienced in Lyme. There are many differences of opinion and approach when it comes to Lyme, both for diagnosis of co-infections and in treatment. I am NOT medically trained, but not clear on the need for hydrocortisone: it *suppresses* your immune system, but a bacteria infection like Lyme needs your immune system up and fighting, according to my (non-medical) understanding.
Lyme is a wacky part of medicine currently, and in a decade or so may be entirely eradicated ... but for now, there are many docs with many different ideas about how to diagnose and treat.
I would see a different Lyme doc for a second opinion. You don't have to tell your current doc you are doing that, so as not to burn any bridges. Let us know what you do and how it goes, okay? Best wishes!
