P.S. ~ Prof. Nicolson will be joining us here again in MedHelp in May ! Look out for the info... I'll be sure to post something in here as well.
It is important for people to realize that the ticks can carry and transmit more than just Lyme. Co-infections are likely responsible for unusual presentations, and are also often targeted by difference treatments than Lyme. A person can be fully treated for Lyme, but remain ill from these other tick-borne infections.
As with Lyme, the testing for co's is difficult, and therefore many LLMD's will also diagnose and treat based on clinical evidence.
Well said. I have multiple infections... viral and bacterial that I'm addressing. Treating is long, but as you may know (from being on a similiar treatment), you slowly start to see progress.
Apparently ticks often carry viruses as well... according to Dr. Oz if I remember right.
P.S. ~ What I love about this video presentation is that Prof. Nicolson gives treatment recommendations for lyme and co-infections and dietary recommendations.
