Insurance struggle with rx now different prescription

Sorry I just need to vent I suppose. I am now considered CDC positive for Lymes, but my insurance wouldn't allow anymore than 2 weeks of Omnicef when I needed at least 3 more months. In the meantime I was out of meds and now I am having sciatica, migraines, and tingling feet, and just overall very moody. Just annoying. So now new one is Amoxicillin and Biaxin so far I am tolerating it fine. I notice this Lymes affects my moods sometimes and I seem much more grouchy and tired than usual.

I have had Lyme since August 18, 2005, and have experienced many symptoms but the mood swings and mental changes have been the worst. I never had any problems with anger or depression prior to getting Lyme disease, but that is who I am now. I fly off the handle over the stupidest things that seem like life or death to me at the time. There is that irrational thought. I am a 38 year old grown woman with a license to practice registered nursing and I drove my car down a walking path because I needed to get my daughter out of the rain. needless to say the car got stuck and I was left thinking"How in the hell could I have thought that was a good idea?". The answer is that my Lyme was in control of my brain for a while. There have been many other situations where I was left asking that same question. The thing I wanted to warn you about is that Lyme can also cause severe depression and can progress quickly to suicidal thoughts because of the irrational thinking. Please watch your symptoms and tell your Dr. if you notice these kinds of mental changes. You think it could never happen to you but so did I until it did. I now have my husband listen carefully and let me know when I start saying irrational things or acting out of the ordinary because I cannot detect these changes in myself anymore. Please be careful this is a terrible disease. How long have you had Lyme?
