Yeah, Its not for everyone. I don't get out much either. I can't work, I have a fifteen year old and very active 6 year old. That is a full time job. I try to sleep while they are in school then I have to cook and clean. And there are days where I really need a maid and a cook. But I have to do it, I have no help and it really ***** when you are walking in a fog, and exhausted.
But I love being a mom and that just goes with it. I have to get my little one out to the park and bring her to gymnastics. I get by with a little help from my friends for rides to get out. I am able to sometimes take walks that are a few blocks away some days. I have two parks verry close to my appartment.
But anyway I made a poster for May and got a local store to put it up, and I just get online and post things where and when I can. I only have to sit to do this and it is in my free time. Sometimes I go throught the day very tired just to get things like this done. I went on a local online communtiy and messaged someone who works for Events in my city.
I posted the trish project there. and Lyme walks to get in our community. I am to sick to do something like this but I would love to help as someone else could coordinate it. I have just asked friends to please make a poster or put up a lyme ribbion at the end of there Street which connects to a main Street or is on one. I also bought some lyme ribbions and put one at the end of my Street on the cornor of the main Street. And when I went to a park I left one there.
I've read about the ribbons project.
Personally, I'm a semi-closeted Lyme case. (I'm not necessarily proud of that fact, just stating a truth.) Since May was Lyme disease awareness month, I did make some efforts, including posting info on FaceBook (for my "real-life" healthy friends to see), and I participated in a 5 K fund raising event.
I still work (sort of, part time) and am not comfortable being a highly vocal Lyme activist at this time. I hope someday to be able to do more.
I meant the one on here I havent seen the one Object of my infection I will check that out now thank you I would love to be your friend ...
Are you talking about the video on here or the video Object of My Infection Tara made for her book. I have been reading the book and she did a great job on it. She included everything about lyme in it. She even has information on testing. My story is in it too.
I just checked out the video it is telling us what we know as I think we are aware that Lyme comes and goes and anti biotics helps, it is good for everyone to view again thank you for putting it up there. I have found the information on the forum very helpful and if you scroll down you will see all the questions and answers put here,
It is now called Ribbions Across America
