Trying to find an answer for possible lyme

I have been suffering with lyme like symptoms for about 6 months. I was sent to quest about 4 months ago per my GP to have the basic western blot test taken. It came up negetive although one band on each section came up positive. I believe the bands that did show were not lyme specific but am not sure what steps to take next. I tested positive for lyme in 3rd grade and was treated at the time. Recently I have been put in touch with a lyme specialist who wants me to take the IgenX testing. I am at a loss for what to do next. My history with lyme makes me think it could be resurfacing but the physical testing so far does not conclude this. Any advice?

Quest is not known for the wonderful work they do with lyme testing.  Igenex is better.  It is the lab that confirmed my lyme (after many previous negative results).  Lyme tests are notorious for false negatives!

Makes sense to me! I have written in other comments about inaccuracy of blood tests, so you might want to review my other comments.
Try , and .

Since my blood tests were negative I did not diagnosis for 3.5 years, allowing things to get really bad. It should be a clinical diagnosis, not based on tests!

Let me know the direction your lyme dr. takes. I may want to see him sometime!
