Please read my recent comment to nymom815. Read the websites on lyme disease which include Ehrlichiosis. ANY mental health disorder may be caused from lyme. Trust your body if things don't improve. A person who has been ill a long time is more sensitive to possible things going wrong - some are of brief significance and others aren't. Don't let dr.s dismiss you quickly; I've found it usually means they don't know and/or don't want to deal with it.
AnnaE,
You mentioned that 12 days ago you might have hurt your back while mowing the lawn. Has your back ever caused you pain prior to this event? I would think that if it were related to anxiety only, it would be something that you've experienced before, probably following an anxiety attack. Sometimes people will say that they get headaches often or have sore neck muscles, particularly when they are anxious. Their bodies just react that way to anxiety. Your back pain sounds like it's a new thing for you. Muscle relaxants are often used to relieve anxiety, so if your back is still hurting several days from now, maybe consult with a physician. In the meantime, try to avoid assuming the worst about your condition. It will not help you in recovering from either back pain or anxiety. :)
Best Wishes!

I am so sorry< It was me on the wrong forum.
This is the eye forum. You might try one of the other forums that deal with back spain.
You might also go back to your MD, or ask him if you should see a specialized doctor.
