Stephen Buhner is a master herbalist who has written a good bit on Lyme.  Just google/search his name and you'll find links to and reviews of his books.

Yes apparently there are lots of good scientific studies into herbs to treat lyme. My doc has referred to them and is very interested in alternative meds as well as the conventional abx approach. I don't knwo where to find the specific studies he referred to but he said they are proving that certain herbs can cure lyme.

Look up Cowden protocol to start with.

Also try some searches on teasel which is the main European herb used against lyme.

And of course there is the indispensable artemisia that busts cystic forms.

There is a lot more to this but I hopea t least this get you started!
