Symptoms
Severe chills. Low grade fever. Sweats. Nausea. Severe joint pain in every joint. Heavy fatigue. 2nd time in two yrs. RA doctor says its NOT rheumatoid arthritis. Waiting on tests. Could it be Lymes?
Ditto what Jackie said. I had similar symptoms when first very sick so I would see a LLMD. Lyme literate Dr.
I like emailing ILADS.org and asking for names. Unfortunately there are a few Quacks out there calling themselves LLMD. If they have been trained by ILADS that is the best.

Welcome -- sorry to hear you are suffering.
Lyme symptoms vary from person to person for a variety of reasons, so if your doc is telling you that you don't fit the diagnostic picture, then I would consider getting a second opinion from a Lyme specialist (not a rheumatoid arthritis [RA] doctor, as your current doc is).
Note that some RA docs can take a more progressive stance on diagnosing and treating Lyme, but many may not. Emailing to ILADS [dot] org's website and requesting a referral to someone near you might be a good step. Also look up TXLDA, the Texas Lyme Disease Association, and ask for a referral to a Lyme specialist near you.
As tho Lyme isn't bad enough, dealing with MDs who do not understand Lyme well is something to avoid. Let us know how we can help -- best wishes to you --
