Glad to hear you are getting help!! I hope you start feeling better soon! Good luck with your treatment? What did he prescribe? Keep us updated on your progress...
Good to hear from you! I hope your husband is recuperating well.
Your new dr sounds like s/he is on the ball -- that's wonderful news.
I was diagnosed with Lyme and Babesiosis initially -- the Babesiosis was treated first, and then we started on the Lyme alone. I don't know if that is the way all LLMDs approach things.
Please do keep us posted -- best wishes!!
Good luck to you. It sounds like you have a good doctor.
Excellent news.
Ask the doc if you should treat the co-infections first and then the Lyme.
That's what I read is the proper sequence.
You're more likely to have the co-infections too if you live in certain parts of the country and it seems like Babs is more prevalent in older generations.
'older generations' !! that made me chuckle - could you elaborate on this - ie; at what age this 'generation' begins !!!
gorbsx
Well I am 33 and I was first bitten 20 years ago so I guess it 's all relative me being an "older generation" *LOL*
But yes, I am getting tested for Babesia, Bartonella, and Erlichiosis and some other Bebesia type illness. It will still be weeks before I get my results so I am on antibiotics now.
I tested negative for all the co-infections and I think it's making my doc second guess my CDC positve IgM Western Blot from Igenex. Somewhat bittersweet huh?
