Positive for Lyme and Mono - Fever and tachycardia only symptoms

Hi, all!

I've been running a low-grade fever since February. Temperature is typically around 99.5, sometimes higher, sometimes lower. My only other symptoms have been rapid pulse (resting around 100 BPM) and slightly high blood pressure for my age (aged 22, 135/88 average).

Last tests were positive for Mono (which I had when I was 17) and Lyme Disease. Started on three weeks of doxycycline.

Lots of questions:

Is it very likely to have so few symptoms with Lyme Disease?
Are hypertension and tachycardia common symptoms of Lyme?
Is it possible that I've had it since February without more symptoms and without worsening?
Have any of you had Mono and Lyme at the same time?
Are false positives common in this type of situation?

Any advice would be appreciated - I'm not convinced that I have either one of these illnesses :-)

Morning,
I read your posting and hopefully can answer your questions. I'm not a doctor but can answer based on what I read about lyme and personal experieince.

Low grade fevers are a part of lyme as  well as a symptom.
Tachycardia/fast pulse can be common as I deal with this and before lyme, never had a problem with any of it.

The elevated blood pressure can be an issue for some. There is a book called "the basic facts about lyme and in the book lists this as a symptom.

There are many false positives. That's why it's so important to get the tests done by a good lab.

You could have been bitten at any time and not known it.  Depending on where you live ticks are usually not active in the winter months.

Tachycardia is common but  high blood pressure is not.

Mono (EBV) is common along with lyme because the lyme supresses the immune system which can cause the EBV to become active.

There are far more false negatives than false positives.
