osteophyte formation

what is osteophyte formation at L4-5??
i have been having REALLY server pain in my lower back, and headaches. i was wondering what can i do about the pain and how to make it go away?? my MRI results came back and said there is osteophyte formation at L4-5 so what does that mean??

but ive been having these pains for over a year now. can you tell me how long the pain is going to last??

They are aka:bone spurs and are part of our normal aging process. follow up with your doctor who ordered the MRI. Drugs are not the answer.
