The subject at hand is very interesting, but could you explain what happened to you, if it is not too much to ask?
You are asking a good question. You can get herpes, hepatitis B, syphlis, chlamydia of the mouth and bacterial infections not keen to the eye. So be very careful! I say this because my life has not been the same since I performed oral sex Feb 2007. I think to many people down play the risk of oral sex. I wish I had done what you are doing now and that is seeking the risk factors. Make sure you do not mix any drinking or drugs with engaging in sex. Ask the person when was the last time they had a complete pysical and what did the physical entail. Where they tested for STDs? Herpes in particular. Inspect their private areas closely and even then you can't really tell if they have something. However, if something doesn't look right down there, don't engage in any sexual contact. I apologize for my lenghty response, but if I can save one individual from going through what I am currently going through, it is worth the effort. Take care
