Blighted ovum and d&c

Had my first ultrasound yesterday i shouldve been 10+4 with my 3rd child but instead i found out i had a blighted ovum which is where the embryo attaches and a sac forms but the embryo never grows. So im pregnant with no baby and it *****. I have blood work tomorrow and again on friday to check my hgc levels but my midwife said that for how far along i shouldve been then shes pretty positive it was a blighted ovum. She said if my levels show theyre going down then ill be scheduled for a d & c if it doesnt happen naturally. Has anyone had a d & c? What is it like ?

They put you to sleep and remove the sack. Afterwards you have like very bad cramps and bleeding

I'm sorry for you lost. I had a D&C with my 1st pregnancy and it wasn't bad the only part I didn't like is that I couldn't not eat anything after 12 the night before until after surgery. They put you to sleep so you don't feel anything. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
