D&C after Ablation following Miscarriage

I got pregnant after having an endometrial ablation and at 9w3d found out that my baby died. There were twins but the one twin died at 6w and twin A had a heartbeat. Went yesterday and the tech could not find a heartbeat. By the size of the baby it appears it died at 8w1d according to the report.

I cannot find anything on the web about D&C following ablation. I am not sure how a D&C can be done if one has no endometrial tissue. Also I am not sure when the placenta attaches and if it possibly has already grown into the uterine wall if I am at risk of hemorrhage.

Also I spoke with my Doctor's nurse today and she was concerned that my levels are still so high at 15,727. My appointment was moved up to Monday in case I need to have surgery next week. Also in my sono report the radiologist noted that my one ovary was twice the size of my other but I had no cysts and said this could be due to a mass. Can an ovary enlarge due to your body having a MC?

Thanks so much for your help and sorry for all the questions.

The first baby did what was called the "vanishing twin". In the first U/S they said they were monoamniotic twins but in the last U/S they they saw another empty sac and no twin in the remaining sac. I had some bleeding and passed some clots but the sac is still there so I am a bit confused if anything was passed. I have had no additional bleeding the last few weeks.

The sono report says the enlargement is not due to cyst and I have had sonos where I had an enlarged ovary where cysts were seen. Hopefully this was one that could not be seen or something. I just freaked when my doctor mentioned a possible mass.

See my concern is I have no uterine lining due to the ablation. I have no idea how they can do a D&C when the ablation removes the lining. It seems they will be damaging the uterine wall which would be cause for bleeding.

Yes they ordered the levels to make sure they were going down. The doctor's nurse was just shocked that had not gone down further but my levels were pretty high due to the twin pregnancy so maybe it will take longer to go down to zero. However that hopefully explains why I am still having morning sickness.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm alittle confused. Did you m/c the first baby and not the 2nd or not at all. A d and c can be done to remove uterine lining or any tissue inside your body that your body can't expell on it;s own. Your ovary may be enlarged due to a cyst which are common and sometimes can't be diagnosed on a u/s, If you do they usually don't dissolve until further into your pg. I'm sorry I can't be more help. I had a d and e and then had to go back 10 wks later for a d and c. I was 19 wks. I have had 6 m/cs. The rest were natural m/cs. My advice is to get a 2nd opinion. Are they tracking your levels to see if they are dropping? I wish you the best. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Please let me know what happens....
