I would wait a week from when the spotting started and if still no AF you may want to try a pregnancy test. It's possible if the spotting only happened a little bit it could be implementation bleeding. I believe that you would need to wait x number of days after the implementation bleeding to get a positive.
Also, as Nancy said, it's possible that things are still weird in your cycle. Everyone recovers differently. For me, I bleed for 12-24 hours after the D&C, then nothing for at least a week (dr said that COULD have been a non-ovulating period), then the it seemed as if my "cycle" was normal and I got AF again 30 days later.
If this is your first cycle after the m/c, then things are most likely still wonky. I m/c'ed at 11 weeks & it took about 6 weeks before AF showed again. In addition, before my m/c I never spotted before AF but now I've had spotting about 2 days before each AF since.
Things just need some time to get back to normal - everyone is different. This doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant before everything is running right again, but I wouldn't make too much of the little odd things.
Good luck!
Nancy
Well see that's the issue i have not received my A/F since my M/C on 12/11/2009 and that was my problem I started spotting on Sunday at night and i thought my A.F would begin still to date nothing. I spotted sunday, mon, Tues i mean i would say i only saw it when i wiped after urination. I even used a pad on Tues and the pad had 1 small streak and i was shocked because i thought for sure it was going to be A/F knocking at the front door. So i dont even know what the problem is. Help!!!
Depending on when you ovulated that could very well be implementation(sp) bleeding. Do you know when you may have ovulated? If it stays like that or stops in the next few days you may want to take a test to find out. I hope it's good news for you!
