pregnant or not? miscarage or not?

I stopped taking birth control 6 months agoin November and have had regular periods every month up untill Febuary 23rd and it has not stopped yet. I have been bleeding for 32 days now total. At day 15 i was experiancing terrible cramping and was rushed to the hospital for possible etopic pregnancy. was given a blood test and bchg test and a pregnacy test, blood came back fine, pregnancy test was positive and bhcg levels were 114c. I took some midol to help cramping and went home. 3 days later was told to get another bchg test and it came back on at 126c. And was sent home to rest. One and a half weeks later was given another bchg test and it came back at only 45c, the doctor told me she does not think i am pregnant and told to to keep trying to get pregnant and the bleeding should go away on its own.
I am so confused on what this means, did i have a misscarage? Or am i pregnant?? The test still showing i am pregnant???
What is happening??

In my opinion I would keep ttc but in the mean time I would consider getting a 2nd opinion. I can understand if your levels are zero. Usually dr's will tell you a m/c can have an affect on your cycle and it can take a few mos to get back to normal but you weren't even diagnosed with having a m/c. I'm trying to figure it out and coming up blank. So my suggestion is get a 2nd opinion and have them draw your blood etc. Have you taken a hpt recently? Best wishes to you. Please let me know what happens....Good luck.

She checked my uterus on monday and said it looked good and no change and to not worry about anything and to keep trying to get pregnant. It is day 35 of bleeding and i believe it has now stopped. I did ask the doctor about the d&c and she said she doesnt think i need one so this confuses me on if i had a misscarage or not and why  i dont need a d&c? And my bchg levels have still not come down to 0 and doctor still says she doesnt think i am pregnant.

This is really confusing
Thanks for reply :)

I'm sorry. I think if your levels were 126 and then 114 it sounds like you may have miscarried. You may in fact need a d and c. I had a similiar experience and bleed everyday for 10 wks after having a d and e and had to have a d and c. Sometimes our bodies can't expell the pg on it's own. You could run the risk of infection. I agree with crissy I would def make an app with your dr and get examined and have an u/s done to see if there is some leftover lining I would also have them re-check your blood too. I'm so sorry you are going through this it's awful. I hope you feel better soon. Try to get some rest and stay hydrated. Best wishes to you and let me know what happens....

Hugs,

I don't understand how you could have a positive pregnancy test and have rising hcg levels. I would guess that you were pregnant and maybe had a miscarriage. I would say that you need to call your OB and find out what's going and have a vaginal ultrasound. Just let me know what happens. I know that the confusion has to be hurting you right now. It's hell to not know what's going on with your body.

Ok, let me get this right...You had a positive pregnancy test and your levels were rising? Why would they say that you were not pregnant??? If i'm not mistaken anything over 5 on the hcg  means that your pg.Have you talked to your OB?? If your levels went from 126 down to 45 then I would say that the pregnancy wasn't viable. If the test still come back positive it's probably because your levels did not drop to 0. I would contact your Dr. and see what they say. I'm sorry that your going through this. Please let me know what they tell you.
