help

I was in the er yesterday for minor back pain but due to my history of ectopic pregnancies they wanted to check me. I am about 6 weeks and my hcg level was 6179 5 days ago it was 1200. I'm not bleeding and my ultrasound showed what looked like a gestational sac but no yolk sac and it was in the right spot.  I am getting checked again on Monday.  Anyone not see anything the er doctor who was an "idiot" said we should see or hear a heartbeat by now?

Your numbers do look good and it's completely normal at this stage to not see much. Dr's all go by the same time frame and it's stated at 6 weeks a heartbeat does start but it's very very common not to see it til 7+ weeks. And like the other poster said, make sure you have an internal ultrasound as you see much more that way at this stage in pregnancy. Wishing you the very best.

I wouldn't worry just yet, at 6wks you can't always see much and a heartbeat is most often seen at 7weeks. Your numbers look good. At your next scan I would ask for an internal ultrasound (especially if they still can't see much) and also another blood test to check your levei are still going up. Are your dates definitely correct? It's hard but try not to worry at the moment.
