why is it taking so long for my hcg level to go down?!
So i had a miscarriage 8 weeks and 1 day ago. I was about 9 weeks pregnant. I was so upset but just kept telling myself ill try again but my hcg level wont go to zero :( ive been waiting and waiting but its just taking so long. I get blood test every week and im always hoping for good news but its not. 4 weeks ago it was 169. 2 weeks ago it was 35. And last week it was 15. Im almost there but its just so frustrating! I go for a blood test tomorrow so hopefully it will be at zero. Has anyone else had this happen? And another thing, i got what i thought was my period 4 weeks ago but can you get a period with your hcg level at 169? My dr wouldnt tell me what happened and everything had passed from my miscarriage within a week. I just want to be pregnant again!
My doctor said everything passed as well but they were wrong if you feel something wrong tell them it's scary because retained products can cause severe infection .. Good luck Hun and thankyou :)
Thats awful you had to go through that! I was thinking i had something left from the miscarriage too but my dr said it all passed out so i guess its just taking forever! But im glad your pregnant again congratulations and good luck!!
I had the same thing happen to me mine took forever to go down after 3 months they were still at 20 I was wanting to try again so bad but I ended up bleeding for 6 months all together with my m/c and after they checked me and told me there was nothing left I passed a chunk of tissue 5.5 months after my m/c it was horrible but thankfully a week after passing that I stopped bleeding and I finally had negetive pregnancy tests it took so long to be done it was emotionally exhausting its hard to get over something when it's still going on .. I really hope you have no retained products and that it will o away for you soon and baby dust to you as soon as you get to try again :) it took me 6 months from the final ending to m/c and goin through a ruptured cyst surgery but I'm finally pregnant again 17 weeks . 12 weeks thats awful! This is my first pregnacy/miscarriage. I hope to get pregnant soon!! :) glad to know im not the only one i thought something was wrong with me lol

The same thing happened to me. I was 9 weeks and 4 days. It took 12-13 weeks for mine to reach zero. Yes you will still have periods, I did.
On my 1st miscarriage it was just a few weeks and my levels reached zero very quickly. 2nd time round took a really long time, and I was shocked by the amount of time it took to reach the zero level.
I am sure it will go back to normal fairly quickly now.
Don't panic ur almost there now :-)
