I'm sorry for your loss. I had a d and e yrs ago at 19 wks. I bleed everyday for 10 wks and ended up having to get a d and c. I then had complications from that for another few mos. It took my body about 5 mos to get back to normal and have my cycle regulate. Dr's will tell you it can take 1-3 cycles to regulate but every situation is different. It depends on how far along you were etc. A m/c is very traumatic not only to your heart but your body too. A d and c is pretty envasive so your body needs time to heal. I would def follow up with you dr. I would req a u/s to see if everything is ok. I would ask him what your next steps should be. Some women have issues with bleeding and their cycles after a m/c. I hope you get everything figured out soon. I'm here if you need to talk.

I'm so sorry for you loss. It is so hard when it drags out for so long, and you just want to move on.
I am now in my 6th week of bleeding after m/c, although my hcg was doing weird things so my doctor suspects I may have had a 2 m/c in a row, and basically just never stopped bleeding from the 1st one when then 2nd one started. In any case, it feels like it it has been dragging on forever. It is so draining on your body, and emotionally draining too.
I feel like it has been really hard on my body to bleed for so long, so was thinking it might take longer than usual for my body to get back on track afterward. I don't think your cycle can start again until after hcg is 0, and you would get AF about 4 weeks after that, so it seems like it should be coming soon for you.
Has your Dr said anything about waiting b4 trying again? My Dr. and RE both said I should wait at least 2 full cycles to let the lining build back up again, esp. after the prolonged bleeding.
