Possible miscarriage about to occur?

Hello,

My last menstrual period was on 12 dec and I ovulated on 31 dec. (my cycle is 33 days)  I had a very slight bright red blood bleed on 5 jan (like just one wipe) So I went into the hospital and they sent me for a transvaginal scan the same day and it showed my gestational sac measuring 5 weeks and 4 days.  There was no sign of the yolk sac or the embryo.  I also had my HcG levels tested and it came back 2357.7 mlU/mL, which doesn't seem all that high as really I should be about 7-8 weeks by now according to my LMP and ovulation date.  I am getting my HcG tested again in 3 days time but I don't have a very good feeling.  Has anyone else had a similar experience?  When did the miscarriage start?  It's horrible just waiting for it to happen...

I miscarried last night.  The cramps were quite intense and lasted throughout the night.  I believe I passed the placenta this morning.  I am just glad that the waiting is all over.  Thank you for all your feedback it has been very helpful.  Wishing the best of luck to everyone in future.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I've had 5 miscarriages in the past 2 years. In my experience, you don't start bleeding until your hcg gets pretty low, and it drops by half around every 48 hours. Generally once I found out I was going to miscarry it happened within 2 weeks.

Hopefully your next pregnancy will be successful -- but if it isn't, insist on getting recurrent pregnancy loss testing as it's possible that there's a treatable explanation. I recently had testing done and found out that I have a clotting disorder. With treatment, I'm finally pregnant with a healthy baby.

Anyway, best of luck to you!

Unfortunately my 2nd test of HcG came back at 2200 vs 2357 3 days ago, so it looks like I will miscarry.  The worst thing is just waiting for it to happen..  Thank you all for your support.  As horrible as it is, it is comforting to know that you are not alone in going through something like this.  Let's hope this is the one and only time.  I wish you all the best. x

i'm in the same boat as you, i've been told the past two scans i've been to that there is no growth or heartbeat and i am 6weeks, even though when i added my dates up i should be around 9-10weeks, only thing that is different is i haven't had any blood, i have to go back on friday 11th feb for them to confirm whether there is any changes or whether it is dead.
the nurse has said she thinks i've had a missed miscarriage, even though your probably terrified of what the answer is going to be, still have hope till then, you never know it might just be something or nothing,

sorry i cant be much help but i hope everything goes okay xxx

I recently just had a miscarriage - last Sunday actually, I am still having a bit of bleeding now, but the flow has really slowed itself down.

My last menstrual period was Dec 8, with a 33 day cycle I believed I conceived somewhere btwn the 25-27. I had my first u/s done on Jan 26, I was measuring 5w 3d with a sac but no heartbeat. I was concerned because the night before the scan I started spotting- my doctor said not to worry this was normal. As the week went on by Saturday evening my flow increased and I went from seeing light pink, to brownish coloured blood to bright red blood, and eventually clots and by Sunday evening the sac fell out and into my hands.

It really is difficult to say whether or not you are miscarrying unfortunately only the tests and time will be a true indication.

I completely understand how difficult this is - this is our second lost and we have no other children. If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know! Keep strong and optimistic - that is the very best thing you can do right now!
