TTC....after a miscarriage

Hi Ladies,am new to the forum,saw it when i was searching for imformations on ttc after m/s.I miscarried twins 6 days ago and i want to know when its appropriate to start ttc again.am really fragile now,that was my first pregnancy after ttc for 5yrs.It was a pleasant surprise for me.But i dont mind starting as soon as possible.

Thank you ladies, i am now back to ttc, had my first period after m/c 2 weeks ago ,and we actually are hoping that something GOOD will come to stay from this cycle!! Though, i still cant stop thinking that i would have been this or that number of weeks if i had not had the m/c.I am praying for a miracle that will wipe away every tears from our eyes.I am also ernestly praying that God will prevent further m/cs.
I will update you ladies.Here is to a sticky sweet babies to everyone of us ttc after m/c!!!

I'm sorry for your loss.  I would definately see what your doctors says but I personally didn't wait.  After the bleeding stopped we went back to life as normal.  But we are actually trying now after 1st AF(which came 28 days after mc started)...from what I have read the only reason for waiting is for dating the pregnancy.  But I had a natural mc so....you may have other things to concider. Hi, I just came across your post and thought that I would comment.  I miscarried in April and my docters recommended waiting atleast one cycle.  I asked why that was important and they said "to give you time emotionally and to help us date the next pregnancy".  We did not wait for a period and started trying again about two weeks after my D&C.  I had a positive pregnancy test four weeks later and was thinking I was pregnant again.  I found out two days later it was just HCG hormones left over from my miscarriage.  I felt like I had another miscarriage and this is why the docters tell you to wait one cycle.

So, after my period (which came four weeks 2 days after my D&C) we started trying again and we got pregnant that month.  I am now 5w1d pregnant and very nervous.  But my docters have told me that if you body is capable of getting pregnant so soon, then there is no medical evidence showing that we are at a higher risk.

I am proof that you are more fertile after miscarriage.  Before my miscarriage we tried for years (which made the miscarriage even more painful).  But 7 weeks later, we got another chance!  I wish you the best of luck!!!  You will be nervous about the next pregnancy no matter when it happens.  That part is normal.

well doctors don't recommend ttc after a m/c for 3 cycles however from what ive noticed nobody really follows those crazy rules lol.  I'm so sorry for your loss and I just had my 3rd miscarriage so I know how horrible it is but the best of luck to you.  It will take a while for you to get your period again.  all 3 times it took me 6 weeks to get mine.
