after d&c

hello, does anyone know how long after a d&c will a pregnancy test show positive ?  or how long does the hormone stay present in your body after a d&c ?   i had a d&c almost a month ago.. me and dh were not trying since eveyone says to wait at least a cycle... well we didnt use protection everytime... so anyway im not sure when af is supposed to show and i took a hpt and it was positive but very very very light... could a home test still be showing positive ??

well i got them back after another 2 weeks its still at 25 its been almost 2 months since this all started (october7th) i havent bled anything from the m/c in 35 days and havent even got to zero yet this is just crazy how can it take so long

well i went early yesterday and just called my doctors right now but she says she doesnt have them yet which is dumb because last time she had them within a few hours its kinda driving me crazy lol i just want it to be over so i can strt again or be pregnant again lol... i didnt know pregnancy test could pick up an 8 either lol lowest ive seen is like a 12

Thank you... i went in for labs yesterday and the doc said my hcg is at 8.  i didnt even know tests could pick up that little of the hormone... she said if its from the mc it will go down if im preggo again it will go up... i have to go back in a week... how were your labs yesterday ?

hey i just had a miscarriage and its been over a month and i can still get a very very faint positive on home pregnancy tests its been forever and it really ***** as i have been trying but my last hcg 2 weeks ago was 93 and i had one done today and hopefully its gone now my last pee test was november 26th at home just a store brand and it was still a faint positive.... try getting a pregnancy test with a higher miu it helps to know about how much is left as each brand checks for different amounts of hcg :)

i was only i guess 5 weeks there was only an empy sac so im not sure either... according to my dates i should have been way futher... i had to have an emergency d&c... they never tested my hormones so i have no idea what they were or anything... my mc was 30 days ago but i took a test and it was really faint... ugh.. lol its driving me crazy.. thanks for responding...

sorry about your loss.  I had a d&c about 3 years ago and I can't remember how long it took my hcg to get back to 0.  I think I'd go to my doc and get my levels checked and then rechecked to see if they are going up or going down.  Wish I could tell you more, but I just don't remember how mine was.  With my last m/c, it was natural, it took about 2 weeks for my hcg to go back to 0, but I was very early on and my numbers never got above 2500.  Good luck
