is this normal

I had a D & C on April 29,2009 cuz of a blighted ovum at 12 weeks but the sac measure at 10weeks. I had no bleeding at all. before or after the D & C. A week later after the surgey I went to the hospital cuz i was in pain alot, the hospital wanted to do the surgey again cuz they found stuff still left inside but the obgyn said no cuz i dont have a fever and treated me for a UTI instead. i started to bleed on June 30, 2009 for the first time after the D & C and the whole time i was in pain for those months and I still am. well on July 1 2009 they did a unltrasound and i guess they found stuff still left inside they said. plus the bleeding was not normal they said cuz it was bright red and watery not a period. so they put me on provera 10mg for 10 days to make me bleed and hoping that the stuff that got left inside will come out. so the last pill of the provera was on saturday july 11 2009. and i am still bleeding for 2 weeks now but its not bright red anymore for about 4days now. it got dark.  I think the doctors screwed up and is not telling me.

Also a month after the D & Con June 5, 2009  my hgc levels were 45 on a friday and 38 on a monday. three days later.

so my question is.... Is this normal? Whats going on ?

well my dr's wanted to get me another D & C again on wed but i ended up in boston friday july 24 to a different dr and they couldnt believe that they waited so long 2 do anything. so they found stuff still left inside and they ended updo something to get it out. so i feel alittle bit better now. that they got it out.

i call the dr's office all the time. and one person said that i will not bleed while being on that pill that they give me to bleed and im still bleedin and then i call and told them that im still bleeding and the other lady said oh u can still spot while being on it. it slowed down now but i just dont under stand it. my body didnt  miscarry on its own and so i dont know anymore.

I believe u should see another doctor and inform him of what happen. Ask him as many questions as possible and then u should seriously talk to the doctor that gave u the DNC Surgery and tell him he better have answers for u because u will be talking to ur lawyers because i think this is ridiculous. How d hell he could tell u no everything came out and the u/s taken after showed there were things still inside of u. Please pay him a visit cause u could get a serious infection or u could even die.

I know they look for a temp but still if they are telling you there is tissue still there I would def tell them you want to be seen asap or try to find another dr. Your health is so important. I can't stand when dr's dismiss our concerns there is just no reason for it! I hope you get this resolved so you can move on! I'm sorry for your situation.....

well the dr kept tell that i was fine cuz i didnt have a fever but was having alot of pain but no bleeding at first i started bleeding 2 months and 1 week later after the d & c. but know that they found stuff left behided, know there concerned about it. which i have been telling them the whole time that something was wrong. I already have one child that is 6 and i'm 26. this is my first m/c. I have never in my life had unregulater  or abnormal periods. but the dr i kept telling me u never had a m/c before so this is normal. my dr is stupid and she treats people that have different types of ins. different.  I go back to them on July 27.

I'm sorry for your loss. It is normal to have an unregulated amount of bleeding but no it's not normal to have anything left over. Usually in most cases the d and c you first have should clean out everything but sometimes that is not always the case. If not detected it can cause an infection or constant bleeding. So that is great they found that for you. Has your dr mentioned another d and c? I had a d and e 4 yrs ago and had bleeding for 10 wks and ended up with a d and c. It was a nightmare. Some of us women just don't do recover as quickly as some other women do. I would think your levels would have gone to zero by now how ever if you still have fetal tissue in your body that may affect your hcg read. I would def ask your dr and if you are unhappy with your medical care I would try to get a 2nd opinion. If the bleeding continues you want to get into the dr and try to resolve the issue.
