friend needs help

hey girls i have a friend that i think is around 7 to 8 weeks preg ( i dont know too many details yet) she went in for her first u/s not sure if transvag or not. they told her there was a sac but no baby. They havent done any bloodwork and wanted to sched a d&c right away. dont u think they should do bloodwork before jumping into a d&c. my sis had a blighted ovum around 8 or 9 weeks in sept and her doc did 4 rounds of bloodwork before they would do a d&c. do u think my friend has a chance that the baby is okay or most likely a blighted ovum..has this happened to anyone and the baby ended up showing up? the doc said if she had a tilted uterus that it could be "hiding" the baby! Thanks in advance for ur advice!

I agree with Steph!  They should def do some follow up with another u/s before she makes any decision.  Dani was told she had a m/c and look at how preggers she is now!  I'm a little shocked that the dr's would want to rush right into it.

Best of luck to her, let us know what happens.

Oh noooo. I would not even think that for a few weeks after they can confirm it. With  my last son they thought it was not going to be a viable pregnancy and after many bloodtests and u/s's...There he was!
