Bleeding after miscarriage

I had my second miscarriage 6/11/08 and didn't need a D&C because once i reached the dr. office i had already passed the sac and 8 week fetus on my own. The dr office said i should bleed for 7-10 days. it's now been 7 weeks and i am still bleeding. the bleeding is now heavier than my normal period, goin on 7th day,  and i have only had a day or two since m/c without any bleeding. what should i do

Please seek medical attention.  That is too long too bleed, especially if its heavy. Its its more than a pad or so an hour, you need to go to ER, otherwise you really should call your Dr. and see him/her sooner rather than later.  Its important.  Best of luck to you, and I am sorry for your loss.

Im sorry for your loss.  I would call your dr and tell them your concern and request that they do something about it, it is your health that is at risk. There is a woman on here who had the same problem, when she went to the dr for u/s and they discovered she had a ruptured blood vessel in her uterus and now she needs surgery.  She was more upset because she kept telling her dr she didnt think she should be bleeding for so long and had requested them to do an u/s but dr told her to just wait because that is normal.
