trying to conceive

I had a m/c in May of 08. I got a regular period about 4 weeks later and 2 weeks later got another period and have had it ever since and now it's Oct. My fiance and I decided to start trying to have a baby again but I don't know if I am ovulating or not. As soon as we started trying my period did stop and now here we are 3 weeks later and i thought I was pregnant but got my period again. What is my stystem doing?

Hi there I like bam had a natural m/c. But I'm a worry wort and tend to ask my doctor a million questions and one of them was about my period. He said it would take a few mos to regulate. He did not mention constant bleeding. I was almost 6 weeks when I miscarried last month and my bleeding only lasted for 5 days. If I were you I would give your dr a call and let him or her know that in fact you are ttc again but you had been bleeding for 5 mos. To me that does not seem normal. You might need a d and c not to expell the pg but could be the lining of your uterus didn't thouroughly shed. I don't want to scare you and i'm not a dr but I have had 4 back to back m/c and I did not experience bleeding for that amount of time. Good luck to you and let me know what happens. Take care and best wishes to you.

Thanks for your help. I was thinking of trying that. I m/c naturally too and did not have a D&C.

I don't know how helpful I can be, but I thought I would suggest that you use an OPK (ovulation prediction kit) after AF arrives.  The box will have directions on when you should start testing.  This is a great way to know if you're ovulating and when.

I m/c naturally, but I have seen by other posts out here that if you have a D&C it can make your cycles wacky for a while.

Hope this helps a little.
