bugger aye i just found out i was preg on sat due to a home test, lines where very faint
i was due to see my doctor on tuesday for a blood test but sunday i had really bad cramps and when i went to the toilet and wipped there was a little blood and none since but i have been getting a brownish discharge so i went to the hospital and they did a scan and found no pregnancy sack so there is a strong chance i have already miscarriaged, i got a blood test done and am waiting for results, doctor said that the cramps may be my insides streching and that the discharge may be old blood or implation bleeding, and that it might of been too early to see preg sac

has anyone else had this happen

my question is i'm still getting brown discharge but it has settle down and not as much today it has basically stopped there was'nt alot to begin with but its not knowing... thats annoying
but still no blood and my period still not come
they took a blood test so just gonna wait for results but how long should it take  to start bleeding and is there a chance my baby is still there

Keep positive! It could be old blood just like i had. When i saw the dr he said there was no use doing u/s this early as nothing was likely to show up. He did however take my hcg levels four days apart and they were rising and consistent with an ongoing pregnancy. Sometimes you have to be pushy with drs or they will do nothing. If i were you i would demand your levels be taken because it was the only thing that eased my mind. Keep us posted on your progress. Good Luck :0)

The sad thing is that all you can really do is wait and see a doc/midwife.  I just went through a miscarriage that started off  with a small amount of brown discharge for a week.  They told me is was old blood from implantation bleeding. Five days later it turned bright red. Three days later I actually passed the embryonic sac.  There was no doubt in my mind then that it was a miscarriage, but the days prior to that were unbearable.  I read every message board I could find to figure out if I was going to lose my baby or not. The truth is, for every "it's normal and I had a healthy pregnancy after bleeding"...There's a sad story to contradict that. I have read about women who have had my symptoms (aside from passing the sac) who have gone on to have healthy pregnancies.  I have read just as many who have not.  It IS helpful to have people to talk to though.  :-)  I am just glad to know there is support out there.  I felt very alone until I found this group to share with.

Bam is right your hcg needs to be well over a thousand to see anything on a vag u/s. If you are off on your dates you won't see anything. Even a few days can affect what you see on the u/s. Your best bet is to wait for the bloodwork results. Good luck!

It's still very early, there is a great possibility that you just aren't far along yet to see anything on the scan.  I know that I've read on here, that I think your HCG levels have to be at a certain number to expect to see anything.   Best of luck!  Please let us know how it goes.

If you are two weeks late for AF then you should be around 6 weeks pregnant. I'm not sure about seeing anything in the scan b/c I never had the chance to see anything in mine.

I had my period for 2 mos while pg with my daughter. I bleed at 14 wks with my son due to placenta previa and 14 wks with my other  daughter but I lost her twin. Bleeding is common during pg especially early on. I wish you well and hope everything works out for the best. Good luck to you and let me know what happens......

i think that i would be maybe 4 but i thought something would have shown up in the scan, the discharge has stopped now and i have had no more cramping and no more blood so i hope everything will be ok. i'm 2 weeks today late for my period

How far do you think you may be? For this pregnancy, i bled for two days with brownish blood which started heavy then became light at the time my period was due. so that would be exactly four weeks pregnant. I'm now ten weeks pregnant and have had no other problems. I wish you all the best and hope that everything works out for you.
