Doe's anyone have MS on there Spinal Cord?

I was diagnosed with MS in 2005 through MRI and Lumbar Puncture (2006)   my Neurologist used the lumbar more than any other testing.  The enzyme or ??? were 22x higher than they should be.  I have a new Neurologist and my disability SSD was approved in Jan 2010.  My new Neurologist has ordered.

4 spinal MRI
2 day Sleep Test
He also did the electric shocks to check my nerve ending in my hands, feet and a couple of other places. and would not rule out another lumbar puncture ( I do not and want have another Lumbar Puncture)

I am not sure about anyone else but here in Florida if I go to the hospital or a new Doctor they seem to always question my Neurologist and my Primary Care Dr.

I have a lesion in my upper tspine. Dx'd with cervical myelopathy, so prob have lesions in cspine that don't show up. Have a few in my brain. I'm not dx'd w/ MS. Just limboing.

You don't need another spinal tap. Period.

Maybe the doc is ordering MRIs as follow-up/monitoring, if it's been five years since your last ones. Are you on DMDs?

I have lesions in my brain and T Spine.  No Obands in the spinal fluid but I did have myelin in my spinal fluid.  I was dx'd a little over a year ago.

Best wishes to you.

My MRI shows lesions in my noggin, but my neuro exam points to lesions in my T and C spine, even though they don't show up on MRI.  Yes, I am diagnosed.  I'm due for a new set of MRIs later this spring.

Cheers, and Welcome!

Good questions Shell.....

Now when you say that on the first LP, the Enzyme was 22 times higher than what it should be..........What exactly does the report read? Did you also have "O" Bands?
(not that you have to have them for a dx)

I am curious as to why they are questioning you dx after all this time. But after you answer all the questions Shell had mentioned we will get a much clearer picture as to what is or is not going on.

And back to your question, I also have a lesion on C-Spine.
Glad you found thid Forum. You will get a lot of information as well as meet some AWESOME people.
Take Care,

Hi BOdie,

As you shouldn't - get that tap again. I agree, once is enough, especially if they found what they suspected.

It must be horrible to have doctors questioning your dx. I know we have a couple on our forum right now in the same perdicament.

Your 4 MRIs - is that brain, c, t, and l-spine?  When were the last one's run? Are you on and DMDs? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a feel for what is going on. Would be good to know more so we can zero in on what may help you move through this. Other than that - how you feeling?

Thanks for joining us!
See you around!
