Dude where is my Car?

I went to a meeting at the Legislature and the garage and lots were full. I ended up in a parking garage many blocks down town. I was of course late at this point with blocks to go. I looked at the cross street and a landmark. I was there for hours and I got mixed up of course coming back. There are many garages in the area. First garage no dice. I did not panic. I would systematically go one by one. Luckily third garage found my car. Polly and I got our walk in for the day.

Hmmm sounds like you picked up a stalker.  lol

That is too bad he felt the need to follow you.  Maybe he is a newbie and it made him puff out his chest and such...who knows.

Maybe Polly should have peed on his shoes.  Just kidding!

First I went to a news conference by State Employees they want to fire all IT and out source it. My husband is in IT. The the Health and Human Resources Meeting was canceled. So I had to stay all day for the Department of Insurance Meeting which was basically saying what the Department of Insurance does. I go when ever the paid lobbyist for the NMSS has a conflict or they are talking about health care. The funny part was I had my dog and one crutch which has racing car flame decals on it. I only use the crutch to stand. I made the plain clothes security guy nervous so he tailed me all day. I wish he asked me to have someone to tell him who I was. Evey where I went he was there. He ate with me, went to the other building with me. The only place he did not go was the ladies room. I guess he saw the Jackal Movie with the crutch as a gun. I was wearing my suit and did not look out of place except the crutch and the Dalmatian.

Too funny!  I can laugh because I have done this before.  Lucky for me I don't drive anymore. But unlucky for me, my mom is my driver.  She looses our vehicle all the time.

So, Alex, how was the meeting?

Alex, Glad you found your car. Darn things are so easy to misplace. At lest for me. last time I went to walmart I couldn't remember were my truck was. glad I have a keychain that makes the alarm go off. comes in handy. I haven't been to walmart in over a year now but guess I'll have to start writing down where my car is if i ever get there again.

I could tell you a good laugh. 9 years ago I lost my van in a waffle house parking lot. yeah, all of 20 spaces and only about 6 cars there. I went in and ate, got up to go and I thought were is my van?

walk outside and omg someone stole my van! what do I do. call the cops? who would steal that old van? I don't know the tag number. someone stole my van? glad all this was in my head as I was standing right in front of my truck. I had gotten my truck about a week before.

sigh, I think my brain has never worker right and wonder how I would know if I have my mind on to many other things or zoned out or if it was MS fog. assuming I have MS. I can't even blame it on that. LOL

Alex,

Well done on dealing so calmly with what could have been a real freak-out situation!

I drove my roommate to the airport once, parked and walked her in, had dinner (we have a nice airport), and when I went back to the parking garage I couldn't find my car.  I walked around and around, tried different floors, was just about in tears.

Finally, a security patrol guy stopped to see if I needed any help, and I explained (embarassed) that I couldn't find my car.  He calmly invited me to hop in his pickup and drove me around til we found my car.  My little Kia was sandwiched between a couple SUV's, kind of hidden.  That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it, ha ha ha.

I remember seeing a poor guy at Disney World, Florida. He was distraught as he had not noted wear he had parked his car and he was taking his frustration out in a very animated fashion on a cast member while his young son looked on. (verbally not physically).

It was very funny to all those around, but hell just think about it wear would you start!

Oh, no!!!  That could have been a nightmare.

Once we forgot where we parked our car and looking for it at night made it worse.  Al thought it was stolen. We finally found it, that it wasn't stolen, and that we'd walked right past it a few rounds earlier.  Its' funny now, but not at the time.  :)

Glad to hear you found it and got some exercise out of the search process.

Hugs and happy to hear you've got your wheels again.
