How long till diagnosis?

I have paresthesia on left side of my body*, numbness top of right foot up right leg*, eyelid twitch**, tremor in left arm**, clumbsiness*, dropping things tripping and stumbling, memory issues. ( These started within the last month*, these have been a year**)

I have seen 2 neurologists, both say the neuro exam is normal, no lesions on MRI of brain, C or T-spine.

This feeling in my left side drives me nuts, almost feels like restless leg syndrome of the whole left side,
I don't know what else to do.

I was told that I should do another MRI in 8 weeks, and if that is still negative, we wait for the next symptoms to appear.

How do I tolerate these feelings??

NMO test isn't back yet, other labs normal.  No lumbar puncture yet, but to repeat the MRI in 8 wks.

You almost wish you could get the diagnosis to start treatment and feel better.

Thanks to all for the info.

Seems like its a very long process

Hi there welcome to limboland like you I have left side weakness numbness, ect,ect...
Three yrs on and now they think MS, Brain scan 3 none specific spots/leisions.
It seems to be be the watch and wait approach for most.

The clinical symtoms you have sound like MS so just keep pushing for tests and MRI and the docs may dx you.

Stay strong and dont give up!! Merry xmas tarter

Believe me, its not an easy diagnosis!!! What other tests have you had, blood tests, lumbar puncture etc...?  I am still in "limboland" and have several brain lesions, positive lumbar puncture, abnormal neuro exam and all mimics have been ruled out and they still won't diagnosis me.  This is a long process so be patient and let them treat the symptoms for now....

Take care,
Rachel
