We leave around noon our time....
I hope to begin the next chapter of my multiple sclerosis journey today , my last visit with the MS Dr 11/10 he advise me to read up on DMD'S.
I met the new 2010 McDonald criteria for the DX- I think he needed a little more clinical evidence to prepare battle with my insurance company to start therapy and didn't want to label me to quickly, God knows the local Dr were not much use. I moved from RIS to mild CIS.
Just over three years since the first MRI, all the blood work we all have had, LP, VEP other brain waves.
So to Chicago we go Today .. If the drive & exam doesn't kick my butt to much I'll post the results late Monday.
It's my hope to finally start a DMD,, and slow this MS down.
Thanks to every one over these past few years for your support & concerns & guidance.

Good luck, JB. Getting an name for this MonSter is often a large part of the battle.
I have a MS luncheon tomorrow- the topic is skin care. Then in the afternoon I have acupuncture scheduled.
Friday morning is my follow-up cardiology appt - just the routine check-up.
best to all,
Lulu
I have my Urologist and Neuro-ophthalmologist appointment (Tues and Wed). Let us pray everything is structural and not neurological. (Thank god the urologist tomorrow, my kidneys have been burning again).
@Johnniebear: I wish you luck at your Chicago appointment today.
@LuLu Enjoy your luncheon and a successful acupuncture.
@ Shell- Ooooo yard sales! LOL. Oh what fun! But the extra cash will do :P
I am going to try to paint with blurry vision all week. I need to paint.
Oh and civilize the puppy beast. I have not gotten him out much in the last few days. Running around the yard does not cut it for a smart puppy.
Shelly it is just one thing at a time as I learned with the studio otherwise it is overwhelming.
Good luck John.
Lulu sounds interesting can't wait for the report. I never even thought about skin care and MS.

Work all week. MRI Wed night. Need to travel to ATL next week (maybe.)

I am traveling down the coastal highway here, looking out over the ocean. It really is beautiful and amazing. Ii always think of the whole other world that lives below the water i can see. My daughter is driving...she really is turning out to be a great driver. We are on our way to Childrens Hospital for her Chiari specialist neuro surgeon appointment.
Tomorrow morning I see my pain management doctor to see about going ahead and getting the Baclofen/morphine pump.
The ocean view here outside of Santa Barbara truly is remarkable.
Hugs, Addi
Had a weird little event yesterday of seeing stars with my left eye (first time this has ever happened) for a couple of minutes while watching TV. So started out the week with a phone call to my eye dr.
Work all week in between Dr. appts. One for eye surgery prep for next week and one for kidney - UTI follow up. Just planted our summer garden and have some flowers left to put in. Glad I am self employed. I don't think an employer would be happy with all the dr. stuff :D
Addi- LOVE Santa Barbara! Are you heading north or south?
South. I live in Lompoc and am heading down to LA. :)
Addi
SB - love it! Even the harbor seals are great. What a beautiful sight toshare with your daughter.
good luck to everyone else with their appointments and life in general.
Addi- Lompoc is beautiful. All those flower fields. 101 to La is a nice drive. I live in the SF Bay Area and make that trip frequently down to OC. Enjoy the drive.
This is one thing I will miss when we move to AZ. Yes, Lulu! The harbor seals are pretty cool! :)
Yeah, it has been a nice, peaceful drive so far. We are enjoying it, plus the view...
Addi
Yes, the drive north is quite beautiful. We are hoping to make a trip up to SF before we move, but i am not sure we will get it in. :(
The flowers are beginning to bloom in the fields right now. I love driving through, just to smell them. They smell so good and the fields are beautiful. :)
Addi
We have friends in Lompoc and I have been there a number of times when the flower fields are in full bloom. It is spectacular. This whole country have beautiful vistas - we are lucky to be here.
I have to agree with you, Lulu. We do have beautiful country throughout the states. :) I love driving through the grape fields here, too, when they are about ready for harvest. They taste so different than the grapes you buy in the stores. :)
Ohio has some beautiful country, too. I miss being there, when it isn't snowing of course! Snow is a spectacular sight to see...looking out the window, with a dire going. lol
I lived just outside of Columbus....and also in Celina and at Indian Lake.

Today I'm recovering from a worrysome night after my cat got a bee sting on his paw which swelled WAY up: he's much better but I didn't sleep so well!
Tonight I'm going to a farewell pizza party for a volunteer coordinator who's leaving the cat shelter where I volunteer & going to coordinate volunteers at free geek.
I'm also starting a prometrium tonight to go with my new Vivelle dot patch for my lovely hot flashes that go with my newly official menopause. Hope it all helps my dry eyes/blurred vision & etc.; never know what symptom comes from what diagnosis!
Need to pick up 10 other prescriptions tomorrow.
Friday I do my volunteer shift at Cat Adoption team.
In the meantime I'll be cooking, baking gluten free bread & goodies, & trying to take good photos of the geese and goslings that have taking to dining on the grass around my roommate's condo, the other birds, and my cat Beau, who I adopted last month.
I love driving around the countryside here in Oregon, too: love the flowers, the fields & trees & flowers. Enjoy the sunshine when we get it :o). I have a lovely basil plant indoors that I can use for my cooking & baking until it's warm enough at night to have a container garden outside.
Whoops, left out my Wednesday morning appointment with my physical therapist.
working. also volunteering a little, packaging dog and cat food for the pets of tornado survivors. I'm not any good with helping clean up the mess or standing to serve food but I can sit and package the pet food.
Kathy - congrats on the new family member, Beau. I didn't know you finally added a new cat to the household.
Raz- sitting work is every bit as important and the hauling stuff. It just shows that we all can do something to make things better for others.
Sunday I took the day off from doing nothing to go take some pictures. I posted a couple on my profile here. This was basically my reward for getting through my barium swallow test last week.
This week I have an appointment with my VA neuro. Not expecting much from that as usual.
