I had bad pain last night. I woke up in pain. I went riding. The horse had not been ridden in awhile. She went off on a fast trot from the get go. A fly got her and she went to bucking. I had no trouble staying on. Living with vertigo all my life I have this natural balance I have found. I rode an hour. Then I cleaned the saddle I use. Now I am not distracted and back in pain.
Pain is not so bad when you have people who care and can distract yourself. I am riding again tomorrow. The way my MS is progressing I am not sure how long I can ride so I am going to ride as much as I can. I am doing barn chores in exchange. Tonight I will be in pain and will not be able to fall asleep but it is so worth it.

ahh so cool!! so glad you got them to listen- lol ive thought of puttin chair in doorway so he -cant- get out!! ha!! but hes been good!!-oh i used to ride- its soooo relaxing- but be careful!! ya got a seatbelt!! hee hee- i have thought about it!! hugs!!
I'm glad the appt went well and you didn't have to go see 4 different doctors to get the 4 different prescription meds. :-) Just when you start to wonder if there are any good ones out there, then you come across someone who has a good experience with one.
I hope you continue to get positive responses from your doctors.

It is so good to hear when someone is heard and being treated properly. I can't understand how you can have a mild form of ms when you have had it your whole life. My heart goes out to you with what you have had to deal with all of your life, yet you still live your life to the fullest!
My father used to be on horse patrol (many years ago when he was a cop) and I used to ride with him all of the time. I loved riding horses, its been many years since I have done it.
I used to go to my girlfriends house after school and go riding with her, we had to brush them first and then after, and my allergies kicked my butt, yet I stll enjoyed riding.
So happy for you,
Pam
Alex, I am so happy to hear that you are finally being heard and validated!! You have been waiting for so long and in such pain. I am so happy for you!! I hope that all of these medications and the ability to return to your horses gets you back on track soon

Will miracles never cease! Finally!

Finally!!! The help and assistance you have been denied for so long and the physicians understanding what your life is like on a daily basis!
Double the good luck that you can go riding again! Sounds like a win-win from all of your new sources.
I am VERY happy for you! You've waited so long to hear such good news.
Gentle hugs,
Ren
Thanks everyone and I most have one the lottery so to speak. I have not been able to ride because of the heat. Finally it is not hot but my riding instructor and her husband do insurance disaster claims so she has been down at, and will be down at the coast for some time. I called and emailed about going out and riding if someone was at the barn a week a go and never heard back. She emailed me yesterday and said that was great. I go and hang out with the guy who takes care of the horses. I help him feed and such. This is win win. The horses are not getting ridden and I need to ride. Riding helps my pain. A horse is a natural pilates machine.
I also one the lottery because of all my friends on the forum.

Even though I am just a beginner in this all (not even diagno.. yet) and don't know half off what you are going through, I feel for you and I am really glad you had a good visit to the doc. Hope the meds will help much!
My best to you,
Dagun
Phew, finally some good news! I am so glad for you because when I read your posts you make me smile so often. Unfortunately,so many in the group seems to be going through a rough time at present and we need some positive news like yours to grab hold and uplift us. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings

Alex, The Doctor appt. sounds like it went really good. I hope the new meds help and the new pain doctor can help you too. 2 hour visit sounds like it should.
after your recent visits you sure need a listening, caring doctor. I know they are busy and I have no idea how they can keep each person straight in their heads. I'm sure they don't and glancing at notes seems not to help much. yet, it sounds that right now you hard getting some of what you need and thats great.
Raz
So glad you had a good visit!! I hope all future visits go as well!!!
Hey Alex...
It's about time.... I'm so glad your doctor finally understands... Now hopefully all the meds will help like they are supposed too and you can get back on your feet again... Take it easy and good luck with the pain doctor... let us know what they say...
I'll be praying,
Carol
It sounds like you have been having a bad time of it all lately, I haven't been on here that much, so was not aware, give those dogs some hugs, it always makes me feel better, I am enjoying my new puppy so much, she has given me an entire new focus.
I am pleased that you got some new medicines, now lets hope they can give you some relief and I think it is great that a Dr gives a 2 hour appointment, they should in that time be able to give a good examination and get a very good history and answer any of your questions.
Good luck,
Udkas.
Alex, it's about time that you get a break with the doctors and have one of them listen to you. Now let's hope this positive streak continues and more of your team spends some time with you understanding you.
Lu
Alex,
Finally a good visit with a good doc and sounds like you got treated with respect, and was listened to.
I am happy for you, and I hope and pray your new meds will do the trick and give you some relief, which you so deserve,
XO Michelle
