Itchy, periodic, bee stinging sensations all over body?

Hi, I wasn't quite sure of what topic to put this under, so I think neurology is the closest, if not, the right one.

Ok, so for ages, like maybe 2 years now. I have been experiencing these Itchy-bee-sting like sensations all over my body, and when I say all over my body, I don't mean all at the one time, it's more of a periodic type of sensation that just 'pops' up in different places around my body, for example; I just had one on my leg, then 5 seconds later I got one on my stomach, and then my foot. These prickle/stings that I feel do not have any visual symptoms, such as bumps rash, etc. It's just invisible pain "literally the feeling that a bee just stung me real quick". Right now, it is 1:52 AM and I am awake because these stings are too intense, and can not be ignored, no matter how tired I am. I take anti-histamines (claratyne) and it doesn't seem to rid them, not even in the slightest. These 'stings' have been going on for 4 days now and I have lost so much sleep. They don't seem to go away, not even for a little bit during the day. I'm really not sure as to what is causing them, like I can’t think of a trigger, maybe my soaps? Who knows, but all the soaps I use are soap free. When these 'sting-things' happen, I feel I have to scratch them for them to go away, or it turns into an intense sting, it just gets really strong and painful and then slowly tapers off.
Please help me, when I explain this to my GP, he says he has never heard such a thing!
Any insight would be great, thanks kindly, Samantha.

I believe the answers to all these questions is Candidasis. Depending of whether it has gotten in to your blood is going to make the big difference. I had stinging with no marks which hurt really bad and then also bumps that turned in too sores that were slow to heal. It is a fungus in your gut. Your good and bad bacteria have gotten out of balance. There is no quick fix and regular physicians are to busy passing the buck and trying to make money off of you and telling you, you are crazy. I'm here to tell you, You are not crazy. If you have any auto immune disorders then you have had this for awhile. Mine started with fatigue and mood swings. I wasn't showing any vitamin deficiencies. They checked me for Celiac but  nothing was found. I also suffered from Gastrinitis  then later about a year in a half I was having problems and then was diagnosed with IBS.  Following that I began to bleed all the time so my OB decided to take my uterus and a cist off my ovaries. That's when all **** broke loose. Had  many complications after the surgery but after all that settled down with many antibiotics I had a break out on my thighs. After many false diagnosis and dangerous medicines I took things into my own hands and began to pray. I can tell you one thing. You will need God with this ordeal. I did much research and started seeing a naturopath. We did a candidiasis treatment but only helped somewhat. Then I came across an article that said you need probiotics that are refrigerated that have a 100 to 85 billion icus. sorry if I spelled that wrong, I started putting coconut oil mixed with essential oils something with mint. I started getting better immediately. You have to heal your gut. I take vitamin d and vitamin b-12 to boost the immune system. Do a parasite cleanse. Stay away from sugar!!!!!!! GMO!!! Breads!!! Whatever this fungus is you don't want to feed  it. I don't know how long this will last. I have doing this for 6 months and am finally getting better but it will probably  be a year to two years of this before I'm truly healed. Hopefully sooner. God Bless. I will be praying for all of you.
PS My gastrinitis has disappeared since I have started my treatment. No more IBS. My skin has cleared up. Foggy brain has cleared. I can finally sleep at night. It seems like now my symptoms are going backwards. I am now at the fatigue and joint soreness stage but everyday is a new day and I try to be thankful for every one of them.
Keep your stress down because your system will release cortisol if stressed which is sugar.
My love and sympathies are with all of you. Hope this helps someone:)

Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU). this could be the problem. if you do some research it could be worth your time. It pretty much describes your condition. I have it too and the only way to make it go away completely is to reduce the sugar intake you have. Read up on it and tell me what you think.

Hi I have posted this as a separate thread too and am writing it here also bcoz I find several learned men and women in this thread.

---- I am 45 and,
For the past more than one year I have been having these continuous stinging / pricking / itching / burning type of feeling, sometime painful, in my pubic hair region as well as my hand fingers and toe areas. Some times it is like a hard bee sting in the pubic hair area.  Some times it is intense and at other times its quite less. I happens in the other parts to but is remote. Since this started, I can feel my palms and toes warmer that they used to be. Also, I have been feeling lesser cold than I used to feel earlier.

I went to the Dermatologist and he prescribed different anti allergic tablets to me at different times which had little effect on me. I was found to be allergic to Parabens. I took care not to deal with parabens in any way. Prickly heat powder helps for an hour or lesser. Cortamiton cream too helps to reduce it for an hour or lesser.

Another GP prescribed medicines for neuro disorder which also didn't seem to have any effect on me. My blood test was performed twice in the past one year but no abnormality was found. Was also tested for HIV and other sexual diseases etc, but was found normal. Though the GP said that I was in the High risk side of the diabetes. My iron was slightly on the lower side and my Hb was 12.  No thyroid, no liver, kidney problems .

Another Dermatologist said it was just in my mind and I had not medical issues. However, he said it could be bcoz of dandruff. So he prescribed me 3 nos dandruff shampoos and creams, two different steroid creams to be mixed and applied on the pubic area, one allegra tablet a day for 10 days and 5 shots of Neurobion every alternate day. I have yet to follow this prescription bcoz he seems to be dealing with a lot of things at the same time.

Please note that the problem starts 15-20 minutes after I wake up in the morning and stays most of the day, intensity increasing and decreasing at different times. No set pattern. But, the problem seems to reduce after I take a couple of alcoholic drinks (RUM) in the evenings. The days I don't drink, I have a problem sleeping, though once I am asleep, I don't wake up due to this. (I am not a heavy or a regular drinker)

Can some one tell me if they have gone thro' what I am going thro' ?. Can someone suggest me some remedy?

Loweja,

I'm not a doctor, but yours sounds like Shingles.  1 side is a classic sign.

I also have the bee sting like sensation, and I have had shingles.  Definitely different.  Shingles is like a red hot poker touching you.  This other thing is more like a pin prick or a bee sting.  Often combined with Itching.

folks, I had a severe Vitamin D deficiency.  I also have Candida.  I took 5000 ui of Vitamin D and heavy doses of probiotic (15-35 Billion from Vitacost).  my bee sting symptoms disappeared in two days.  Gradual decline, but primarily gone in 2 days.  Its a very easy/cheap self-treatment to try.  Please post your results!

good luck!
